things i needed to hear in health class:
- puberty might make you squishier and its ok
- vaginas have a smell and it’s a ok
- all kinds of people with all kinds of bodies have gr8 sex
- genitals do not all look the same and variety is rad
- people have stretch marks sometimes
- people have pimples on their butts sometimes
- people have cellulite sometimes
- gender =/= sex
- sex =/= scary danger FEAR
- bodies aren’t scary or gross or sacred
- everything is ok
Néle Azevedo :Ice Men Figuriines in Belfast, Ireland
brazilian artist néle azevedo ,presented as part of the belfast
festival at queen’s university in northern ireland.
the artwork is a collection of hundreds of carved ‘ice-men’, ‘Monumento Minimo’, perched readily side by side on the steps of custom house in the city of belfast, a carefully prepared intervention that slowly thawed under the heat of the day. the figures sit slouched, with legs dangling – an oddly charming set of characters
full of aloof charisma. the project was selected by the curator of the event as a tribute to titanic victims, the ephemeral artwork a powerful expression of the transitory nature of life, and death.
I need feminism because my self worth is constantly defined by the type of clothes I wear.
stop dressing like a slut and you won’t be treated like one
And thats why we need feminism, join us next week to read about how that guy is single
I hate it when a student asks a legit question because theyre confused and the teacher treats them like an idiot like no wonder students don’t want to ask questions
who wears the pants in the relationship? well preferably no one will be wearing pants
"text me when you get home so i know you’re safe" kinda people are the people i wanna be around
